Resilience & Healing - Nov.
As the air turns crisp and the light softens, November invites us into a season of transformation—the quiet kind that happens not in bursts, but in gentle unfolding. This month’s art piece, Even so, I grow, captures that spirit through the humble strength of a fiddle leaf fig plant.
Painted in layered mixed media, the artwork blends water-based pigment, texture, and softness. Among the plant’s sprawling, vibrant leaves, one leaf bears a visible tear—a tender reminder that even what’s been broken is still part of the whole. Like us, the plant grows toward the light, shaped by both what has touched it and what it’s released.
The layered composition was intentionally built with visible brushstrokes and delicate imperfections, inviting us to see beauty not only in what thrives, but in what’s been changed along the way.
November’s Affirmation Focus: Resilience & Healing
This month’s guiding affirmation is:
“I let life touch me, change me, and teach me.”
These words invite openness—allowing us to be touched by life without fear and resistance of the unknown. With this permission we give ourselves more space and trust to evolve. To be changed by love. To be softened by loss. To be deepened by living.
This affirmation asks us to trust that being changed is not a loss of self, but an evolution of it. Each season, each lesson, each heartbreak or joy becomes part of the landscape that makes us whole.
Ways to Practice This Month’s Affirmation
Here are a few ways to welcome November’s reflection into your days:
1. Allow emotional honesty.
When you feel something deeply—whether joy, sadness, or restlessness—pause to name it instead of rushing past it. Let it be part of your becoming.
2. Notice your growth edges.
Observe where you’re being stretched or challenged right now. What might life be trying to teach you through this season?
3. Practice gentle acceptance.
Instead of judging your current emotions or circumstances, offer yourself compassion. Let each experience be your teacher, not your critic.
4. Share your light.
Gift your miniature print to someone who is navigating change. Remind them (and yourself) that growth can be both tender and strong.
Moving Beyond November
As the year edges toward its close, November’s affirmation reminds us to stay open—to remain teachable, touchable, and willing to grow. Transformation doesn’t always come in grand gestures; often, it arrives quietly, leaf by leaf, moment by moment.
Place your Even so, I grow print somewhere you’ll see it often, letting it whisper:
“Change isn’t what happens to me—it’s what happens for me.”
Reflection Exercise: Let Life Happen
Take a few moments this week to sit with November’s affirmation:
“I let life touch me, change me, and teach me.”
Use the prompts below for journaling, meditation, or quiet thought:
Touch
What recent experiences have touched you most deeply? How did they open or soften you?
Change
What part of you is being reshaped right now? How can you allow that change with curiosity instead of resistance?
Teach
What lessons are emerging from your current season? How might you carry them forward with gratitude rather than fear?
Close your reflection by reading the affirmation aloud three times:
“I let life touch me, change me, and teach me.”
Breathe it in, and trust that everything you experience is shaping you into something even more whole.
